Former NBA Star Stephon Marbury Finds New Life In China

LOS ANGELES ( — Stephon Marbury was the fourth overall pick in the 1996 draft, and the two-time all star went on to have what most would consider a successful career.

But something never quite clicked between Marbury and the NBA. In 2010, he decided to play in China, where he quickly became a star. He’s now a two-time CBA champion, has his own statue in Beijing, and is about to star in a Chinese play about his first season overseas.

Marbury recently spoke to Kristine Leahy about his past in the NBA, and his new life in China.

Marbury also took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and passed it on to his Chinese teammates:
